FAQs
What is therapy like?
Therapy starts with an intake session where we have the opportunity to get to know one another and determine what you are wanting to get from therapy. After this intake, therapy consists of a back-and-forth conversation where we discuss what you would like from thoughts, feelings, traumatic experiences, aspirations, memories, and so on.
What are the session fees?
Sessions are $115/hr. Payment can be made via e-transfer.
Will my insurance cover therapy services?
Every insurance provider and plan is different. Check the details of your insurance coverage to determine if they cover psychotherapy services from a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC).
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling of an appointment must be done within 12 hours of your appointment time. If less than 12 hours are provided, you will be charged the entire session fee ($115).
How do I start therapy?
To start, you can phone, email, or text me and we can chat about your needs and wants.
How do I know which therapeutic approach is right for me?
After getting to know each other and what your goals are, I can suggest a therapeutic approach and collaboratively we develop a plan for our time together.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, however, there are some parameters where confidentiality is breached. These parameters include; when a client is of danger to themself or someone else, or when there is a concern for the wellbeing of a child or vulnerable person.
